  • You are absolutley right Cassey. You busted your ass, and if you choose not to upload, you are truly right. People need to understand that successful youtubers need a break too, goddammit, they have family, privacy, etcetera. It's a shame that people whom know the pressure of work, duties, and stupid bosses can't appreciate and understand the notion of stop and take a breath of it. Renovate. Everybody should be allowed to do that actually. You are an example of succes, sensibility and hard work. There is a watch that I want very much because it reminds me of the that that I don't have to stay unfocused. The hour hand reads "remember", the minute hand "you will die". It reminds me of your tatoo Work harder and Do more. Thanks a lot for all your videos and talks, someday I will find my succes as a creator too.

  • I love the part where you said, "I'll probably see you tomorrow." I can totally relate to that because I'm too busy with my full time teaching job to do daily uploads. My students and family come first. And, when I'm ready to make more videos, I'll do it on my own terms. BTW, wanna come guess speak to my cinema a broadcast students? :)

  • Love your honesty sometimes you can’t image how hard it could be being on the other side!!

  • 94million

  • Bob Marley will never spiritually die

  • I put a lot of effort into my RO-tv channel and I sometimes sleep less because of it, at the moment I enjoy it but I know that it's not healthy and sooner or later I will get to the point where I don't feel like doing it and I should change the way I treat RO-tv.

  • Why u didn't scratch yr glasse

  • I dont understand the attraction of pewdepie .Most of his vids are bullshit. People are sheep and subscribe to this dude because everyone else has. I havnt.

  • Your videos have a lot more heart now. I recently resubscribed and don't mind less uploads when they seem less frantic and more of a thoughtful talk. Good job Casey

  • I've been binging on your videos lately and this was some of the most real talk I've heard in a bit. Keep crushin', man. You're inspiring those of us just getting started.

  • Lol all Alisha does is edit and go out, I still enjoy her content, making a high quality video is not hard, I did it in tech in 5th grade, it was a morning routine and I got my own lighting, camera and editited it to, it only took me 4 days and I also went to school, at the time I swam 6 days a week and played piano and did speech arts. She’s just never had the real struggle. Not saying she doesn’t struggle just not as much as others

  • I wonder how many full start to finish views this video has. Strange there is no API or something to pull that sort of info.

  • Even though it looks very messy at first that background in his studio there has a nice color scheme vibe , which has to be at least partly intentional.

  • You looked bald for half a second 1:57

  • What is the ambient noise with water sounds around 3:10 called? @CaseyNeistat

  • Was casey just about to say its 2013

  • You are just simply amazing.

  • Unrelenting pressure to post new videos... Wow our world needs to sort out its priorities... It is completely normal to go to work every single day and do your job accurately... Post scriptum: Calling themselves creators I always wonder WHAT are they creating exactly 🤔

  • Right on!

  • Can you please not give up on the podcast? Its so fun almost as the videos you post. Congrats on the new baby. I'm sure Francine is having a ball with her. I like the fat that Candice gets to speak up on the podcast.

  • That burnout thing is actually the result of dissipated energy such as friction or thermal energy.

  • Insecurity video!

  • I don't understand because I don't even see what is so appealing about pewdiepie. I've tried watching him and I fall asleep. Someone explain it to me. Casey always has story, I only watch the tubers with story, mostly travelers.

  • The most shocking for me is that this video isn't 3 months old and Pewdiepie is already at 93 million...

  • Yeah so that's a pew die pie chart right?

  • u belong in the thumbnail

  • Neis Beard Bro ! 🤙🏼

  • Not pulling your weight bahaha 😂😂

  • 90% of being a youtuber is editing the video sitting in front of a screen not moving sitting on your ass and sometimes moving cleaning bathrooms loading freight waiting tables building construction military police security these are jobs being a youtuber isnt youtube will fall and ill see one of these lazy people doing on of these jobs

  • 5:00 did Timothy see your shoutout? Lol

  • PewDiePie is less burnt out then 99 percent of the RO-tvrs

  • This applies to literally everything. Solid video

  • Hi 🙂 I am late to this video. I couldn't imagine being famous. I am really excited to start a job as a janitor in a few weeks because I don't have to talk to people. What you do for a career I would find overwhelming. I enjoy your videos. Thank you for making them.

  • Well put brother!

  • I'm a small creator and I have been doing this since 2016 of December. I might not be big but I can surely say I have burnout because I feel my videos are worth a lot more than the views I'm getting. This is a result of youtube not helping to promote me because I'm not making enough money for youtube. As Robert Kyncl said "if they make money for use we will help them out". This hurts me because I want help but no one gives it out. All anyone wants is to help if they are making money or they something even better in return. I want to help anyone who I can that can help me. you help me I help you. I want is for people to watch my videos so in the end result I can help anyone out.

  • Hi Casey, I am not a youtuber (although I wish i was) but I do have a successful career and made it big at an earlier age. I've been experiencing burnout at my current job due to the nature of the industry that I am in and it's been affecting my relationship with my family. They never quite understood me until I showed them this vlog. Thank you

  • Great videos

  • That facial hair thoooo😍❤️

  • RO-tv should provide a free psychiatric farm where creators can go for R&R.

  • People always complain about '1st world problems now' as if they want you to be satisfied compared to the lowest common denominator. By that logic everyone is a prince when compared to a homeless person. You have to keep going past previous achievements- and the privileges of the 1st world problems come with huge pressures as well and are earned. Ask communist era people in the east block- they had a lot less, but they worked a lot less and had less insecurity back then compared to now.

  • 🕗Casey N 🌎Can tha believe that sumbodys hacked my account while watchin thee. Yer probably might get a extra viewer, not that u need it Niestat 😉 get your self to a Liam Gallagher turn out the next time I'm in the BIG A yours LG X

  • That looks like pewdies pie to me...

  • Burnt out making so much money, geez!!!

  • thank you for the pie chart, we all appreciate it :D

  • Hi I don't want to be egoistic but WE ALL have problems and we deal with them, we are not speaking about our problems with million subscribers , BELIEVE ME regular people don't care about the problems you all have because of RO-tv. i'm not comparing the afford you put in your work and regular people afford but i'm tired of the complaining you all make , we don't care about you'r decision you do in life and career , we enjoy watching you maybe learn something new or just to be entertained but we have our problems to and some times they are the same problems.

  • Casey, it’s not luck..it’s hard work for sure💪🏼 you’ve put the time in and bring amazing content. Thanks for the tips you share for new you tubers like me and for being honest about the burn out...what people call burnout can turn to adrenal fatigue which is very REAL! I was hustling hard a Home based business a couple years ago and was finally making more and more money but then I decided it wasn’t worth it to wreck my adrenals anymore. I was going by the advice of leaders that said “don’t sleep until you hit your goal” etc. However I since learned sleep is a great thing & I am learning to be more productive in short bursts of creative time and finding great results! You tube could disappear any moment...at the end of the day family & people you love is what matters. So keep doing you...take a break once and a while and I’m so glad you said you adjusted your video schedule. Your followers will be there when you’re ready to share👏🏻. Thanks for keeping it real!!!!

  • What jacket is he wearing? Canada goose what?

  • This video gives me hope...

  • Thanks for this Casey....watching from South Africa.

  • It's just RO-tv, if you're making good money off of content creation with this platform then that's a blessing. I mean, would you rather go work a 9-5 job? If you're enjoying the content you're creating, it shouldn't be pressure. The pressure is self created because you're now in love with your channel growth and the money instead of the journey. Relax, take a breath or break, the sun will come out tomorrow. Cheers!

  • Totally loved your video and made a lot of sense. Thanks for sharing your view on the topic in such an honest, sincere way. you rock!

  • big youtubers that feel ''burnt out''. feel bad for me for making more money in a year than you will ever in your lifetime, better cars, quality of life etc. for making videos and uploading. yeah, pass

  • RO-tvrs should make videos until they reach this point and then quit and invest their money in other things or whatever. There are plenty of creators to fill their shoes. If their fans can’t accept it then fuck em. Just being honest.

  • Amazing 👍🏼 Love From Canada 🇨🇦

  • And at 4:55 Casey says such a profound statement that is absolutely true! Kids need to listen to this!

  • What happens when you take money out of the Equation? Isn't that at least partly the reason why people upload so much?

  • Can anyone tell me what brand jacket that is?

  • You definitely look burnt.

  • Thanks for those rosy thoughts Casey. I like the new sunglasses!

  • What I feel killed off this site for producers was the Partner For All idea that happened in 2012. All that did was set up much of the trouble we see today and RO-tv were very slow to see the damage that PFA did to the site. Correct that the reward to produce for this site is rock bottom. RO-tv seem to be literally falling on their own sword in trying to make the site safe. But I gotta ask, was the site ever dangerous in all those years before the rift between Google and Advertisers kicked in. LIke I say the Partner For All idea was I feel the start of the BIG trouble here. And sadly the site is now beyond repaid. It's doomed.

  • please mention our(indian) t series too... everyone ignoring...

  • Thanks for this video, it was really helpful to me. Here's why: I'm a 16 year old kid who has been on RO-tv for 3 years. I'm totally used to RO-tv business and do find it more important to increase the quality of my videos rather than constantly uploading. I just started a small video production business and now I find myself constantly worrying why I'm not really getting any jobs or have to miss out on opportunities. Now I feel really unsuccessful. But that is where this video came in. I mean, having a filmmaking business at 16 is not something everybody can claim they're doing. This made me see how successful I actually am, with this even being possible. I really should watch you more often.

    • Guitar3000LP You don’t even run ads. How is RO-tv a business for you? Sorry Ik I’m a dick for calling you out.

  • 85% of the population have this problem with their jobs, no tears here. lol Best thing is to invest your money now, that RO-tv train will come to an end sooner or later, you'll be wising you did. Going to suck being 15yrs. older back to eating ramen noodles in a shitty apartment.

  • Ok! Game on, I will upload a two video’s every week. goals, dreams, disabilities, hobbies extra.. 🤙🏽everything that makes me unique & me! Starting Monday 4-02-19.

  • hopefully we'll get there one day

  • Casey! You Are The Greatest Guy!!!

  • Yes king expose them

  • Love the honesty LMAO

  • How can anyone be that stupid and dislike this video?

  • Fucking typo from this so called journo at 2:00. "Breaks"? "Brakes" to be precise

  • Have never once subscribed to pewty pie, who?

  • Being your own boss is rewarding. Besides RO-tv, experiencing creating a product that creates a demand for your work is rewarding. It took me 5 years to create a dependable clientele that I could count on and make a living with.

  • Elder youtubers are people who refuse to accept that they were once the hot chick in the movie but now all they get is the mom role. I only mean that in the way that entertainment is only forever for a select few. Most won't be at the top the whole time. I think you guys need to change your definition of success. If high numbers is your goal and you are pewdiepie then sure... you are successful. If your goal is creating stuff you want to create and enjoy making but you are making what the numbers drive you towards instead, then you aren't a success, you've failed. It doesn't matter if you have a 5 million dollar house and 50 million subscribers... you still failed. That's the trap.

  • thanks for putting this out into the world

  • i believe that. iJustine puts so much effort into her work and you never see her complain about numbers. she's an og and will continue to post. i love her!

  • Lame. You have to do SOMETHING for your pay. Garbageman and firemen and cops don’t have the luxury of burning out. Entitled, privileged, roooooood. Welcome to entrepreneurship, crybabies

  • Like if y’all agree school is overwhelming

  • 5:01 TRUTH!

  • Nice video

  • " the effort you put in is sometimes not worth the output and that leads to burnout" But that's my whole life... I'm not burning.

  • I never cared for pewdiepie, i tried to watch him, but it was a no go! ....YOU however, imo, have THE best channel on YT!

  • Speaking of "not sleeping" to get success, I would like to add my personal experience. I'm posting videos on RO-tv almost 6 years and yep, I have across 11k subscribers with more than 1000+ videos. Many people had said me that if it's worth to continue, like, "almost 6 years and you have small number of subscribers." But, I do believe it is some kind of success, imagine that number of people on one place, imagine 11k clicks, that IS some kind of succes for me. And you Casey, are my big motivation, keep up!

  • These youtubers are earning millions - it’s insane they would burnout for making that much by making videos - compare themselves to iPhone factory workers in China - those people burn out

  • Casey....I would rather wait weeks even months for you to upload a product which shines than a weekly/daily upload of mediocre useless drabble (which btw you have yet to do). You have worked hard and I believe your true fans will be here for that shining product. Be the Daddy to your children rather than a father (there is huge difference). At the end of all this "stuff" you do and your in your golden years, it's not the fans of RO-tv that will be pushing your wheelchair around. Family is always first and believe me your kids will not care what they have in their lives more than who is in their lives.

  • Let’s go Tim!!

  • they are burn-out because they dont love what they do ...

  • You should shave

  • We will be here Casey, go do best with the FAM

  • Burnt OUT Flat-earther here.

  • The content of this channel is the best I have found in the realm of "RO-tv Influencers". I appreciate it, as a mom of five young adult kids, and as a person. Thankful there is someone who cares about quality over clout.

  • Number 1 burnt out casey neistat

  • RO-tvrs are notorious for NOT delegating tasks to other people such as Editing and the actual filming. It's better to make less money and have a team around you so your not so stressed or spending so much time on each video so you can enjoy it more but most just don't do this as they can't find/afford someone who shares/understands their creative style so they end up doing all the work themselves.

  • Youre girl flat

  • Hard work is required to get you where you want to be and I agree with that. The part I don't agree with is glorifying things like missing out on sleep. I believe, without a sliver of doubt, that if something like that is _required_ to get you where you want to be, then the world you are _required_ to do that in is fundamentally broken. It makes no sense for human beings to be required to be unhealthy on a regular basis to get where they want to be. I mean, imagine if the mindset was that you need to overeat hamburgers on a regular basis because they give you the fuel to keep going. It sounds absurd because nobody does that (cause overeating hamburgers obviously isn't going to give you a boost), but it makes about as much sense as starving yourself of sleep to get where you want to be. "The grind" often means doing things that are unhealthy for you in the short-term with the (often fantasy) belief that doing so is "just temporary" and it's "necessary to get where you want to be." But "just temporary" often isn't and for every person who reaches a level where they can turn down "the grind" and adopt some healthier habits because they have quite a bit of room to now without any fear of a significant loss to their career path, there are countless individuals who will never reach that level and will grind until they break down and have to do something else because they're doing little more than killing themselves. I also firmly believe that if someone wants to cut out an hour or two of sleep to push ahead, I have no right to tell them otherwise, unless they are asking for my advice. But people who _don't want to_ and feel pressured to need to be left alone and need to understand that it's healthy to take care of themselves, and I fear young people who have no concept of an alternative will get caught up in the culture of "the hustle" without any understanding of what the dangers are.

  • This is one of the best videos of Casey that I have watched!

  • I knew that was coming. The constant pressure to produce daily Vlogs is one way to enslave people for pennies. We call them hamster wheel slaves.

  • call it luck, call it hard work, you also come across as being a genuinely nice, positive, enthusiastic person, who knows how to tell a good story. Who wouldn´t want to watch, even if it's "only" twice a week. It´s a joy to follow your journey, thank you for sharing

  • Casey fact check yourself - new kids on the block are still selling out concerts and cruises!!!

  • What brand is his Jacket looks dope?

  • you started this crap of having the expectation of posting daily Casey, so follow your own advice.. hypocryite!!
